Buoyant Blue

Bluemosaic

In many cultures, blue is seen as a protective colour. In Greece, a small blue ribbon is pinned to a baby's undergarments as a talisman. In Jerusalem, blue hands are painted on front doors, while in many areas of the southwest and southeast U.S., front doors and or porches are often painted blue to keep evil spirits away.

Enjoy all these blues from around Flickr. You can visit the Living Colours group on Flickr, if you want to see who created all this buoantly beautiful blue work.
