I completed several of the many goals in April, (yay) and you will find the Biz Goals post happening over here!

IF you are new to The Meetup or would like to play along, here's the scoop:

• Post a list of your business related goals for the current month on the 1st of each month on your blog. {If the 1st falls on a weekend, post on the following Monday.}

• And then {and this is the most important part, since we are a community} visit all the links in the comments, stop in and say hello, have a conversation, meet and greet and etc.

Vignettes of a Move .:. Ode No. 4

Just when the energy is flagging,
and the desire to unpack yet another box has completely disappeared...

all it takes is finding your magic wand, 
the good pliers and some push pins,
a smoke alarm for those impromptu oven moments, 
the favourite lip balm, a shell from Stinson Beach
those thank you notes that were alluding you
(because far too many thank yous have not been written lately)
some colours to inspirate...

OH, and the favourite highlighter pen,
an extra iPod cable (just in case and because you never know)

and, sigh...
life just feels like it will carry on
just as it should,
and those dreaded boxes begin
to look like Christmas again.

So much to do, so little time...
or so many boxes of stuff that I can't find homes for...
or should I wait to open that box UNTIL I know exactly where I will put the things from inside the box? 

All the typical dilemmas of a move,
nothing horrendous, just wanting all the boxes to be gone and life to go on as it has done,
but in a different house.

Oh, and could I please find that magical box
in which I deposited all the screws
that will put my desk back together again? 
That would be so very very wonderful!

But in the meantime . . . 

the sun is back out
my studio floor is red
and I am finding more treasures
as I open each box.

Vignettes of a Move .:. Ode No. 2

• Purple Zip Drive found with important photos from 2 years ago [yay, and just why they were so important that they warranted some tears when I could not find them, I now have absolutely no idea] 
• Ganesha, because he feels so appropriate to life right now, and somehow so comforting.
• Candles, a button a hair clip and a paper clip, some tumbled stones and a mystery piece of very round very smooth marble just because. 
• A photo of me with St Nicholas, when I was 2 or 3 and living in Belguim. [I would love to have a dress like that again - I can still remember looking down at the smocking across the top, perhaps I'l ask Santa] 
• And finally a card from Peet's coffee. Could I have found this at a better time? I think not. 

• Wouldn't life be an even more fabulous proposition if everything had a second chance attached to it? 
• What if everyone you were friends with, everyone you did business with, all your life/business partners, all your casual acquaintances at some point in time said to you: "I'd really appreciate a second chance to please you." 
• Yeah, and maybe I'll just stop there and take my Second Chance card down to Peet's and get me a big cuppa coffee.

Finding surprises I had forgotten about, some Dark Chocolate (thanks niya).

Some gum and some lip rescue (oh happy day), a blue elastic (which I feel the urge to save), a little stuffed bird, and surprise surprise, more beads.

And, more erasers than I could ever find, when I really needed them.
