I admit to having a love affair with the Sundance catalogue. The clothes, the jewelery, the über wonderful furniture - none of which I can actually afford, but there has been a sale or two where I have gotten a pair of flip flops or a little t-shirt that I had coveted in a previous catalogue.
The latest catalogue has this little lovely:
Even more, I would love to make something like this... Has anyone out there seen a pattern similar to this, kind of an overgrown shrug, with a shawl collar and full sleeves. Sure looks cozy and wonderful! Yummy... and I don't have the slightest idea how to even begin to create a pattern for something like this.
Oh, I would wear it all winter long, and even on some foggy spring and summer evenings...
Based on what I saw on the zoomed pictures, it seems to be made using Brioche stitch, with increases starting at every 13th rib. What I thought strange, though, is the fact that the sleeves have two directions of ribbing (or did I miss something here?). Whenever you find a way to reproduce this pattern, please let me know, because it's a very interesting structure. Cheers!

Try the travelling sweater from blue moon fiber arts... you can find it on Rav.

I'm sure I saw something similar over at Ravelry [by Drops]. I tried searching for it earlier but didn't have much luck. I'll let you know when/if I stumble across it.

It does look lovely for snuggling! You might try posting on the Pattern Detectives group on Ravelry. Someone has likely run across a similar pattern. They're very good about tracking down knitwear patterns. Good luck finding it!

Oooh, that does look really comfy. It's got that super long "collar" too. Is it basically knit in the round? Gloria does look like kind of a mini version of it.

It's gorgeous! When I look at it, works by Norah Gaughn comes to my mind. Or Gloria, ( http://www.knit.dk/gloria.htm ), but with increases in the outer circumference done more quickly and made bigger.
