Oh wow! What beautiful knits you've made! It makes me want to learn how. How did you learn? Can you recommend any good books for getting started?

Oh... I'm swooning over your lovelies! I am such a beginner and can only really make scarves. I am dying to learn to make beanies and socks and mittens and gloves... oh! and I want to make luscious shawls... :)
